What is Fantasy Stock Trading?
Fantasy is a super mechanism to learn trading without placing real cash at risk. Traders can login to online fantasy sites, create accounts, and experience trading without risking real money. The initial step a new trader needs to do is sign up for membership and username. This will be their profile and will keep track of their account in addition to participating in online forums. One of the perks of fantasy is being able to participate in web forums and share with other participants about trading ideas. The online portals that provide these services are all a little different but the two foremost fantasy sites I have discovered are UMOO and Wall Street Survivor. Learn to Trade
If you have zeroexperience trading, fantasy is an excellent way to learn. Whether you are trying out UMOO or Wall Street Survivor each will let you pick a portfolio and buy and sell it online from any internet connection. Each permits you experiment with a broad selection of instruments and various kinds of orders. The portfolio will adjust in value defined by the stocks you have purchased and the results in the market. Both UMOO and Wall Street Survivor use actual market pricing to calculate your portfolio value.
Trade a New Instrument
The majority of traders have collected their skills by trading stocks. Over time they notice a percentage of traders are
not intersted in stocks but other tradable tickers such as commodities or forex. A percentage trade bonds and others trade ETFs including leveraged ETFs and inverse ETFs. Options are bought and sold on stocks, currencies, and commodities too. Traders experienced in one symbol might want to experiment trading an alternative symbol but with fantasy cash initially. They are aware that each market is different and has its own special characteristics. Fantasy means experiencing the freedom to try a mix of markets without risking actual money.
Publish for Public Consumption
If you are a regular trader and sometimes wanted to share your performance with friends or publish for a blog, fantasy is good for that too. On Wall Street Survivor you can make your portfolio visible and track other portfolios too. In contests on UMOO partcipants can see other traders in the contests and examine how their portfolio is performing.
Get Rewards
Each fantasy online business has competitions where traders can win gift cards and other prizes. Although investing is a business and should be maintained like one, a game with market data can be fun. UMOO is focused on contests such as UpDown and Pix where the challenge has a brief time period and a specific result. These games are not only fun but a chance to put to work your trading know-how for fun.
